What is A Pen for Pearl?  A diary of sorts...a photography journal.

A Pen for Pearl is dedicated to my grandmother, Gloria Pearl, in honor of her

faithfulness to handwritten letters and her love for the beautiful things in life.

May her legacy be carried on through my journal as I correspond

regularly with you, always remembering the beauty that surrounds us.

I am a Tampa wedding photographer, and I specialize in capturing natural,

personal, romantic images.  I shoot primarily with film...a timeless medium.  I

would love for you to visit A Pen for Pearl frequently!  Consider it an

invitation to sit with me on my patio, enjoy a home brewed latte, and

browse through a handful of photographs together...

~Hello, My Sweet~

Dearest Friends,
It is not often that I wake up next to my love and not rush to start the day. Amongst the business of life, one day pushing its way into the next, I take much joy in the rare mornings that I may lazily curl up beneath the covers and sense the nearness...

~A Bit of Ink~

Dearest Friends,
Monica Mirones, from A Bit of Ink and The Calligraphy Shoppe, is an artist who simply amazes me. She has an incredible talent that makes me…well, a little weak in the knees. She drew by hand the beautiful bird and scroll for A Pen for Pearl, as well as my logo, which...

~Rosa Fiorelli~

Dearest Friends,
I enjoyed a beautiful engagement session at the Rosa Fiorelli Winery in Bradenton with a lovely couple from California.
This is a wonderful location for a rustic, outdoor wedding! I was delighted to find the wide open space of the expansive vineyard…rows and rows and rows of vines that will be lush...

~Journaling~

Dearest Friends,
There are times in my life that I have faithfully journaled everyday, and other times when life simply seemed altogether too busy for such a luxury. Looking back on those seasons in which I regularly spent time reflecting and writing, I see how abundantly thankful I was for the smallest of things. ...

~Celebrating Life~

Dearest Friends,
Every year, I am given a unique sort of joy. We celebrate my little boy’s birthday…on the very same day that we celebrate my husband’s birthday. Indeed, I gave birth to my son on his father’s birthday! This year, the youngest birthday boy joined me in the baking extravaganza, and we...

Dearest Friends,
Isn’t Amy a stunning bride? Truly, so much beauty to capture at this lovely wedding…
I am very thankful for my second photographer, Theresa Marie, for several of the photographs of the ceremony that you see above. One of my favorites is the photograph of Tony hugging his father-in-law, as Amy is...
